DOP for Bisqit, Mini Documentaries for ICMM, Peru

When I was contacted by Kristian Prevc at bisqit I was over the moon to hear that he’d chosen me to be their DOP on the back of a mini doc I made about a guitar maker a couple of years ago. I was even more delighted to hear that the shoot would be in Peru, somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit
The shoot was to be for their client ICMM who are a conglomerative of companies who are focused on ethical mining

After some initial brainstorming and some story boarding we decided on a shoot date of.
After a gruelling 30 hour commute from Heathrow to Bogotá and Bogotá to Lima and Lima to Arequipa we arrived at our hotel. The following day we would make our way to Moquegua to start the filming of Evelyn’s story
We were still tired but I knew with such an amazing team we’d do Evelyn’s story the justice it deserved.

After two days shooting Evelyn’s story we made the three hour trip back to Arequipa. Our mission to tell America’s story
We first shot all of our interviews with America and then onto our b-roll which was great fun to shoot
We shot in the markets and in the town where there was an abundance of activity and glorious colours to capture
